To His Lover’s Stomach
Please don’t tell her
we’re having this conversation.
She would say we are fools
for acting like young lovers.
But you and I know better, I think,
than to deny ourselves the music
of my callused hands playing
softly across your skin.

It is a very lovely poem. I would like to know where the calluses came from
Well, actually that’s a bit of artistic liscense. I’m a big wuss, so my hands are fairly soft. Although I do have calluuses on my left hand from playing the guitar, I mostly wanted it to be a difference between the smooth skin of a stomach and the rough skin of a dude’s hands.
